AED is pleased to announce that Peter Oyloe has joined the staff
at the AED Center for Private Sector Health Initatives. Mr. Oyloe
will serve as the Resident Advisor for the Nepal Social Marketing
and Franchise Project: AIDS, Reproductive Health (RH) and Child
Survival (CS), otherwise referred to as N-MARC. Mr. Oyloe spent
the previous five years at Merck and Co. as the Manager for International
Health Policy for Merck Vaccines. He brings to the N-MARC project
significant experience in organizing public-private partnerships,
influencing public health policy, and planning and executing market
development programs. Mr. Oyloe's multinational pharmaceutical marketing
experience will be particularly relevant in forming new and innovative
partnerships with commercial pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors
under the N-MARC Project.
Prior to joining AED, Mr. Oyloe also worked for Care International,
The Carter Center, and Where There Be Dragons, an organization specializing
in cross-cultural education programs. He has lived and worked in
Nepal, and can speak basic Nepali as well as Tibetan. Mr. Oyloe
holds an MPH from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University,
and a BA from the University of Virginia.
