Chandra D. Sharma

Country Director – India

Based in New Delhi, India, Chandra Sharma is the Country Director for Diarrhea Alleviation through ORS and Zinc Therapy (DAZT) Project. Previously, he was Country Director for the POUZN Project which worked on point-of-use water disinfection and treatment of diarrheal disease with zinc products. Both projects partner with private sector organizations and develop supply chain and demand for products which benefit base-of-pyramid populations.

Mr. Sharma has over 30 years experience in healthcare and fast-moving consumer goods. In his career, he has served as Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of both American and British multinationals (For South Asia and East Africa).

Mr. Sharma is an engineer and holds an M.B.A from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad. He also attended the Stanford Executive Program (SEP) and Harvard's Strategic Management Program.
