Tony Davenport

Tony Davenport is Finance Officer for FHI 360’s Center for Private Sector Health Initiatives; currently providing financial management support for the USAID-funded Nigeria MAPS Project. His responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, subcontract management, oversight of the field imprest reporting process, and day-to-day procurement activities. In addition, he is a seasoned trainer, providing on-site training to FHI 360 field staff and extensive capacity-building assistance to some of FHI 360’s international subcontractors. Mr. Davenport brings over nine years of experience in accounting and finance, having worked in the banking industry for large national banks and then as an auditor for a local accounting firm. Prior to joining AED (now FHI 360) in 2009, Mr. Davenport worked as Accounts Payable Manager for a Fortune 500 Home Builder overseeing all aspects of the department in a fast-past environment at the height of the largest housing expansion in recent U.S. history. Mr. Davenport has an A.A. in Accounting from Northern Virginia Community College and a B.S. in Business Management from George Mason University. A native of Virginia, he is conversant in both Spanish and Swahili.
